Guidelines for Year-End Giving 2018


The Oakridge School will be closed for the holiday break from December 21 - January 7. If you wish to make your gift in the 2018 tax year, please use the following guidelines:

CHECKS:  Checks must be postmarked or delivered to the school on or before December 31 to qualify for a 2018 deduction.  Please mail all checks, payable to The Oakridge School.

CREDIT CARDS:  The gift date for a credit card gift is recorded as the date on which the charge is made to your credit card.  Credit Card gifts can be immediately processed at Oakridge’s secure online giving page: 

If you plan on using your credit card - please go online vs. sending in the mail.

STOCK (DIRECT TRANSFERS):  The gift date is recorded as the date on which the stock is transferred into Oakridge’s gift account, not the date on which you advise your broker to make the gift.  Please request the transfer and notify the Development Office by December 18.  It often takes a few days to verify transfers, particularly during the holidays, and we want to make sure your transfer is completed before we close on December 20.  Transfer instructions are available by calling the Development Office.
