The Oakridge School continues to take steps to respond to the coronavirus pandemic, working to support the health and well-being of our community. Campus is closed and our Distance Learning Plan is in effect until at least Thursday, April 9. Friday, April 10 is a school holiday. The earliest we would return to school would be Monday, April 13.

The Oakridge debate team of Karrington Barnett, Vikram Kollipara, Celeste Phemister, and Eshan Singhal competed Nov. 22-23, 2019 at Marcus High School in Lewisville against teams from six other public high schools.
Oakridge scored victories against Colleyville Heritage High School, whose 143 debaters and veteran coaches makes it hard to beat. Among the top 32 speakers, Eshan Singhal placed 12th in just his second debate. Their topic - the benefits of the U.S. federal government’s use of offensive cyber operations outweigh the harms - enhanced knowledge in a practical and competitive format.
The students’ next topic will address U.S. relations with Latin America, with tournaments scheduled in January and February 2020. Way to go, Owls!
