Middle School students from The Oakridge School competed in the Private School Interscholastic Association (PSIA) Area 2AA competition Saturday, March 24 at Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth. Oakridge students placed in seven categories.
Poetry Interpretation: Kenedy Millikan, Marissa Robertson and Jasmin Moore all advanced to the final round in their grade levels. Kennedy placed 6th, Marissa placed 5th and Jasmin placed 4th overall.
Number Sense: Eshan Singhal placed 1st and Catherine Wang placed 7th. Also, 4th grader, Simran Singal, placed 4th in her division.
Calculator Applications: Eshan Singhal placed 1st and Caleb Eden placed 3rd.
Spelling: Ryan Sears placed 6th and Catherine Wang placed 4th.
Vocabulary: Sana Kohli placed 6th, Karrington Barnett placed 8th and Sohan Masters placed 9th.
Impromptu Speaking: Jasmin Moore and Caitlin Reddig advanced to finals where Jasmin placed 5th and Caitlin placed 1st.
Mathematics: Eshan Singhal placed 1st, Caleb Eden placed 4th and Catherine Wang placed 5th.
