Study Hall Program
The Study Hall period plays an important role in character and academic development of our students through time management and character education.
The Study Hall period, Monday through Thursday, will serve as a time for students to work on homework, projects, or seek help for assignments. The Friday Study Hall will be a flextime, including a Character Education component.
Additionally, each Study Hall is a member of one of four Houses. Our House System is designed to connect students both within and across grades five through eight with a common identity, cause, and activity. Houses offer students and teachers the opportunity to work with one another outside of the academic arena. Through various competitions that promote a healthy sense of school spirit, students establish connections that transcend classrooms and grade levels. Houses also provide older Middle School students with leadership opportunities through positions on our House Council and through the organization of school-wide activities. We also have dynamic guest speakers join us during advisory time to further discuss the elements of teamwork and school pride. In addition, the four Houses compete annually in academic, arts, and athletic competitions.
