Dear Oakridge Family,

I am thrilled to extend to you an exclusive invitation to a truly inspiring event at The Oakridge School. We are privileged to host a presentation from the National Medal of Honor Museum, an organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of the extraordinary heroes who have received our nation’s highest military recognition—the Medal of Honor.

This event is not just about history. It’s about heroism in its purest form—about men and women who have faced unimaginable odds, risked everything, and embodied the very essence of courage and sacrifice. These are the stories of individuals whose bravery has shaped our nation and whose legacies continue to inspire generations, including each and every one of us.

As a school community, we often speak of character, leadership, and resilience. On Monday, these values come to life through the incredible, real-life examples of Medal of Honor recipients. Their stories will remind us of the power of selflessness and the profound impact one person can have on the world.

I encourage every student, parent, and faculty member to join us for this unforgettable evening. It is an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of heroism and what it means to live a life of purpose, integrity, and courage.

The presentation will take place in the Fine Arts Performance Hall beginning at 6 PM, and I promise it will be an experience that stays with you long after the evening ends. Come, be inspired, and leave with a deeper appreciation for the heroes among us. During the day, we will also have the distinct honor of hosting the Experiential Bus on campus beginning at 10 AM.

I look forward to seeing you there as we honor these remarkable stories of bravery and sacrifice.

With Gratitude,

Matt Burgy
Head of School
