CULTURE DAY: From catchy bollywood songs to sweet beignets, Culture Day is something everyone can appreciate. This year it will be organized by Iman Yunus!! Please complete this form if you are interested at all (this is not a commitment or confirmation of participation). Culture Day is a great opportunity to showcase your heritage and will be super low pressure.

UPPER SCHOOL FIELD DAY:  Upper School students will compete by advisory and their team colors on Wednesday, March 27.  Students may wear sweatpants with tshirts of their advisory team color.  There will be a variety of competitions ranging from the traditional to the not quite so traditional!  We will enjoy the afternoon on Conatser Field.

OAKRIDGE TENNIS: The upper school tennis team defeated Grace Prep on Friday afternoon at our home courts.  Both the boys and girls squads won.  Our boys swept their opponents in qualifying matches  (5-0).  Our girls beat their opponents in qualifying matches (3-2).  Cole O’Leary, Austin Jones, Aadit Mehta, Eva Kovachev, and Emily Hill all won their singles matches.  Jay Puri, Arthur Jin, Raj Ruprai, Khaleb Sexton, Simran Singhal, and Addison Willis all won their doubles matches.  Yousuf  Sharif, Landon Hodges, Yuvi Sidhu, Lucas Wang, Sienna McBrayer, Alexa Brunn, Kingsley Norrell, Alyssa Graham, and Luana Marquez Shimono all played some solid tennis in their matches.  This was a great start to the 2024 season.  Way to go Owls!

CHECKOUT PROCEDURES: Anytime a student needs to leave campus early a parent must email Ms. Halbert- Blake to let the US office know. Once the office knows, the teachers are notified and then the student can dismiss from the class without disrupting the teacher and be on time for their checkout. It is best practice to give 24 hours notice. Giving less than an hour notice may result in classroom disruption and delayed dismissal.

CAMPUS POLICY: Parents please support us in our updated security policies. All students and families must have a car tag on their rearview mirror, deliveries from outside vendors are not allowed, parents may deliver to the Admissions office and text their child to pick up delivery from the main office as soon as possible. Parents may check into the main office and then proceed to any appointments scheduled on campus. We are a closed campus. This means students may not leave for study hall and return nor may they leave for lunch and return. If they leave campus it must be with prior parental notification. Appointments should be accompanied by a note to return to school as this ensures the absence is excused.
