Cooper Curtis, Head of School for the Day
February 2, 2024
Dear Oakridge Family,
I am excited to have another message takeover today. This message will come from Cooper Curtis, our honorary Head of School for the Day. Cooper and I spent Tuesday, January 30, together, where he shadowed me for a day, making decisions and learning about my role at Oakridge. Head of School for the Day is an exciting auction item at the Super Supper. I hope to see you all there on February 24!
Here’s Cooper!
Hello, Oakridge families. My name is Cooper Curtis, and I have been at Oakridge for 10 years. Something that I love about Oakridge is the teachers. I remember all my teachers throughout my 10 years here in the ECC, Lower School and Middle School and will enjoy all of the teachers I have eventually in the Upper School. I have enjoyed each and every one of my teachers, because they give us a personal experience, making each student feel special. For example, when Mr. Burgy and I walked into the ECC this morning, I was immediately greeted by some of my former teachers, who remembered me from over 10 years ago! I encountered so many teachers who still remember me, and told me about the places I would sit in their classrooms, and the things I would do. It reminded me of how special Oakridge is, and how I know that even after so many years, our teachers still know me and remember specific moments in their classroom!
Sincerely,
Cooper Curtis
