Dear Oakridge Family,

This week begins our drive towards re-enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year. Contracts for re-enrollment will be delivered electronically beginning next week and instructions on how to do so will be enclosed in the communication from the school. You will notice a change in our re-enrollment system this year, as we are transitioning to a new student information system! The new version is a significant change, and your experience in re-enrollment (along with many other online experiences in the near future) will be drastically improved!

There have been a slew of events since we returned from Winter Break, and it has reminded me of why I came to Oakridge- The mission and values of the school are so well aligned with what I believe a good school should be. Oakridge is a mission-centered community- one where challenging children is of equal importance to nurturing them, and inspiring them to seek their potential is our ultimate goal. I think this may be the most impactful part of our mission statement, and it is what sets us apart. Our faculty and staff are fiercely committed to this work to both caring for your child as well as challenging them through works of inspiration, and modeling what it looks like to be a life-long learner. I am proud and honored to serve alongside them. Like you, I came to Oakridge for the promise of an exceptional educational experience. Like you, I can’t imagine finding anything better. From our Walk to the Future, to seeing our graduates walk across the stage, and to seeing our alumni return in droves, this community is unique. The work that is done here not only expands the minds of our children, it enriches their hearts. Thank you for entrusting us with your children.

Great things are happening at Oakridge! I hope that you continue to join us as we honor our storied traditions and pioneer new frontiers together! Here are key dates for the 2024-2025 School Year.

P.S.- I am closely watching the incoming Arctic blast! Stay tuned for any developments over the weekend should winter weather affect our ability to have school on Tuesday.

Warmly,

Matt Burgy
