Sarah Schecter, Head of Lower School
December 6, 2024
Dear Lower School Parents,
With these cold mornings and beautiful afternoons, many jackets and sweaters are left behind all over campus. The result is an overflowing Lost and Found cabinet. So, on Friday, December 13, yes Friday the thirteenth, we plan to do something really scary. We will empty the Lost and Found cabinet onto several tables, so hopefully everything will be claimed. Please come by December 13-19 to retrieve any items that you are missing.
Our Let Grow projects are filling up a special tree in the hall outside the Lower School office. Check out all of the activities Lower School students are doing to help out around the house or to assist a neighbor.
If you have been by the Lower School lately you probably noticed our display cabinet is full of Holiday Treasures! The children have enjoyed window shopping and considering what would be best to buy for different family members. A letter went home this week with details and a worksheet for creating a list of people to buy for and budget amounts. We hope this will make it easy. There are helpers for each child to make the process as smooth as possible. The children are always so proud of their selections. Thanks to our hard working OPC volunteers, all gifts come home wrapped and tagged. Please return your child’s form and payment before their shopping day next week if you want them to participate.
Warm regards,
Sarah Schecter
