Dear Lower School Parents, 

Momentum is building for the Let Grow experience, and it has been fun to see the kids excited to share what they have done! The November challenge was to do something that parents usually do. Students have done the dishes, raked leaves, listed cards on Ebay, made mom and dad’s bed, emptied the dishwasher, and watered the plants. They are pretty proud of themselves and some have learned that being a grownup is harder than they thought!

Our Food Drive is off to a slow start. However, hopefully this weekend students will have time to get a few items to donate. Food will be collected through Thursday, November 21, and our Upper School students will donate everything to Mission Arlington next Friday. 

Grandparents’ Day is next Friday, November 22. It is a big day of celebration in Lower School! Each class has activities planned for this special day. We hope every student will have at least one grandparent or grandfriend in attendance. The day starts with grandparents in the SAC having coffee and a light breakfast. Next Lower School grandparents attend a program in the Fine Arts Performance Hall followed by a visit to their grandchildren’s classrooms. Finally, there is time to have pictures made in the library or take a tour of favorite places on campus led by the grandchildren. Grandparents’ Day is an early dismissal day, so school is dismissed at 11:30. But because grandparents are grandparents, they can come and go as they wish that day. Please let your child’s teacher know who will attend and what your plans are for dismissal.
