Dear Lower School Parents,
Our Let Grow homework projects are coming in for January. The challenge this month is a little different. It is about doing something creative. If you missed getting the homework, you can print it out here. So far we have had some forts built, a couple have learned to make a fire, one child came up with several riddles, a pinata was created from scratch, and there were some unique art creations. This is a great month to join the Let Grow challenge.
Thank you to all who joined us to volunteer for Meals of Hope on Martin Luther King Day. We mixed, weighed and packed 10,000 meals for hungry people. It was a fun time with many Oakridge students, parents, and friends working together to help our community. We are glad Leighton Meitl raised the funds and organized the details that allowed us to have this opportunity for service.
Next week is our Book Fair. We are trying a new company this year that we hope will provide a better assortment of quality books. Wednesday, January 29, is the day to come early and shop, beginning at 7:00 a.m. Family Night at the Book Fair is Thursday, January 30, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thank you to OPC for working hard to make the Book Fair a success! We look forward to seeing you in the library for this special event.
