Sarah Schecter, Head of Lower School

Nov. 4, 2022

Dear Lower School Parents,

Our word of the month is Gratitude. In Parliament, we talked about the many benefits of being thankful. Did you know that people who are intentionally and consistently grateful are happier, healthier, and have better friendships? This month we are making it a habit to appreciate all of our blessings.

Next week we have the opportunity to share with our neighbors. We will have a canned food drive for Mission Arlington, November 7-11. I will have a cart at the morning carpool to make it easy. It would be great if you could find ways to include your children in shopping, buying, or collecting the food.

Many of you have already returned your Fort Worth Stock Show art permission slip. The art is completed at school and delivered to the contest by Mrs. Levisay. The permission slip is required to enter your child’s art in the contest. We would love to have everyone participate.

Thankful for the Oakridge family,

Sarah Schecter
