Sarah Schecter, Head of Lower School

November 10, 2023

Dear Lower School Parents,

We enjoyed our Pizza Party on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the company who agreed to bring the 50 pizzas was unable to make it happen. So at 10:45 a.m., CiCi’s was contacted and they saved the day! We adjusted our lunch time and everyone came together quickly to make it happen. By 11:40 all 174 students and Lower School teachers were served!

Third and fourth grade put on a great program this week! We Honor You! kept everyone’s toes tapping to the spirited music. It was inspiring to hear about the sacrifice of our veterans and to celebrate America.

Our collection of food for Mission Arlington has grown all week. We have more than made up for our slow start. The kids are excited to bring their boxes and bags of food each day, and it is heart-warming to see the joy they have in helping others. Thank you for encouraging them to be generous.

Next Friday is Grandparents’ and Grandfriends’ Day, one of the highlights of our year. It is always a blessing to see and meet so many lovely people connected to our students. The laughter, energy, and love are so evident each year on this special day. If you do not have grandparents who can attend, I hope you will invite another relative, friend or neighbor to come and enjoy the day.

 With thanks,

 Sarah Schecter
