Sarah Schecter, Head of Lower School

November 03, 2023

Dear Lower School Parents,

Our word of the month is Gratitude. Lower School students have so much they are thankful for and we are busy making our list. Research shows that thankful people are happier people. So, if you need a little shot of joy, come by the Lower School and read our list. It is posted near the office door.

We have had a slow start to our food drive. I think we have been distracted by the Rangers, Halloween and cold weather. As a reminder, we are partnering with Mission Arlington to collect non-perishable food for our neighbors in need. Canned food, peanut butter, tuna, and boxed macaroni and cheese are suggested items. Your child can shop in your own pantry or choose some items on your next trip to the grocery store. This is a good way to teach your child to think of others and to be reminded what a blessing it is to have plenty of food.

No need to pack lunch on Tuesday. The Lower School earned a pizza party for having 82% of families participate in giving to the Oakridge Fund. Thank you for your strong support of our school.

Warm regards,

Sarah Schecter
