Dear Lower School Parents,

The kids had a blast today on Flashlight Friday. Somehow it is more mysterious and exciting to take your Spelling test in the glow of a headlamp or flashlight. Next week we look forward to a full week of no uniforms (earned by meeting our Boosterthon goal).

Field Day and Fine Arts Night are next Friday. It is always such a busy and exciting day. It is also an early out day. We are hopeful that all of you can attend these special events. The children love showing off their athletic and artistic talents.

Soon, you will be receiving a link to sign up for parent-teacher conferences. This is the final conference of the year.

LS Field Day:

• Date: Friday, May 10, 10:00 - 11:45 a.m.

• Location: Oakridge Athletic Complex (OAC) on the football field

• Please wear your lanyard with your Oakridge badge.

• Students should wear their fastest clothes and tennis shoes. They may wear the Field Day shirt or a similar colored shirt.

  • Davis, Kurrasch and Godfrey  - wear yellow

  • McCarver, Andersen and Bauer - wear red

  • Murray, Mills and Snelson - wear blue

  • Harris, Rose and Scarborough - wear green

• You are welcome to take your children home following the events, or they will be bused back to the LS for carpool dismissal or to ride the bus home.

• Please be sure to send lunch if your child plans to stay for the afternoon with Clayton.

Fine Arts Night: 

• Date: Friday, May 10, 5:00-9:00 p.m. come-and-go

  • 3rd & 4th Grade Music Performance, 7:00 p.m. (FAPH)

• Location: Main Campus

• Enjoy an evening of performances, exhibits, food and fun as we celebrate our scholar artists. Everyone is welcome to attend.
