Sarah Schecter, Head of Lower School
March 22, 2024
Dear Lower School Parents,
Humility is our word of the month. This is a rare trait in today’s world, because we tend to celebrate over-confidence and a focus on self. However, both ancient wisdom and recent studies suggest that humility is the key to many of the best things in life. Humble people tend to be better leaders, more well-liked, more tolerant, better students, less entitled, less prejudiced, more helpful, and have more self control. That makes humility a very important character quality for us to pursue.
We are making plans for the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. We have special glasses for all of the Lower School students and lessons planned around the big event. We are looking forward to this unique learning experience.
Diffendoofer Day, April 19, is Lower School's once a year day when students teach their classmates. I have heard from a few of you regarding topics. All preparation is completed at home, and topics are due April 8.
Happy Spring,
Sarah Schecter
