Ashley Read '05, Head of Early Childhood

December 15, 2023

Dear Families,

It's hard to believe that we've already completed the first half of the 2023-2024 school year. From the St. Jude Trike-a-Thon to the Fall Showcases and the daily classroom activities, our students have been busy building deep and meaningful friendships with their peers. We have witnessed immense cognitive and language growth as well as social-emotional growth from our students. This growth and success is a testament to our exceptional and devoted ECC teachers. They invest their time and effort into your children daily, continually seek opportunities for personal growth, and consistently create dynamic, meaningful learning experiences. Our ECC teachers truly stand out as some of the best educators around, and we consider them a gift to us all. Thank you, ECC teachers, for consistently going above and beyond.

The thought of the week this week was “we believe in each other.” It reflects the spirit of our student community, which is not only kind and warm but also actively seeks opportunities to uplift one another.

As we wrapped up the semester, the last week before the break was filled with “Festive Dress Days” and Winter Class Parties. We extend our gratitude to all of the families that helped make the class parties a wonderful community event.

From all of the ECC teachers, we wish you and your families a restful and joyful break. We look forward to continued growth and success in the upcoming semester. Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,

Ashley Read, Oakridge Class of 2005
Head of Early Childhood
