Dear Families,

Whether it be physically in our height, in our hearts, or academically, “we grow together.” We often grow the most through our challenges and obstacles so it is important to practice grit and encourage each other to keep trying. Over the past school year, our students have grown so much together and we are so proud of their accomplishments.

Walk to the Future: On Wednesday, we celebrated the growth our Kindergarteners have made over the years in the ECC. For almost two decades, Oakridge Kindergarteners have taken part in our annual “Walk to the Future.” Following the walk, students performed for family and friends in the Performance Hall for their Spring Showcase. The Kindergarteners felt so loved and celebrated on this day.

Fine Arts Night: On Friday, May 10, we invite you, your families and neighbors to join us for our annual Fine Arts Night. The evening is a come and go format from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on main campus. Enjoy an evening of performances, exhibits, food and fun as we celebrate our scholar artists. Children of all ages are welcome! 

Field Day: ECC and Lower School Field Day will be hosted on May 10 and we would love for you to join us as we cheer on our athletes. ECC Field Day details:

• Date: May 10

• Location: Oakridge Athletic Complex (OAC) across the street on the football field

• What should my child wear? Either the purchased Field Day t-shirt or:

  • Preschool: wear yellow

  • Pre-K: wear green

  • Kindergarten: wear blue

  • All students should wear athletic bottoms and tennis shoes. Please consider putting sunscreen on your child before school.

• When do the events take place?

  • ECC Field Day Parade on the OAC Football field/track will begin at 8:40 a.m.

  • ECC Field Day events will occur from 8:55 - 9:50 a.m.

  • You are welcome to take your child home following the events, or he/she will be bused back to the ECC for 11:30 dismissal.

Parent-Teacher Conferences: Please be on the lookout for the parent-teacher conference sign-up links on Seesaw. May marks our final conference period for the year, during which teachers will share the progress made throughout the past school year. On the week of May 20th, students will be released at 11:30 a.m. to allow time for teachers to schedule parent conferences. We look forward to meeting with each of you.
