Dear Families,

This week, students have been learning about how “we rely on each other” and others rely on us. Our commitments and our words matter and we rely on each other to complete tasks. We rely on our teachers to engage us in lessons and on our parents to keep us safe. 

Today, students celebrated Lunar New Year by taking part in the Lion Dance celebration. Did you know that the Lion Dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture and other Asian cultures in which performers mimic a lion’s movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune? We are always looking for ways to celebrate all of our traditions, cultures and heritages. Please know my door is open if you have ideas on how to bring your family’s traditions or celebrations to our campus. 

It is not too early to start thinking about your child’s summer plans. “Summer at the Ridge” offerings are live and ready for enrollment. Click here to view our amazing, vast and unique summer camps being offered this summer for students ages 3 and up. We encourage you to invite your other Oakridge and non-Oakridge family members, neighbors and friends to enroll, too.   

We hope to see many of you tomorrow night at our annual Super Supper and Auction as we celebrate “The Greatest School.” The event generates funds for campus improvements and educational enhancements across all grade levels. Thank you to our faculty, staff and families that have dedicated their time or made donations to make this night extra special and add to our student learning experience.
