Dear Families,

Our thought of the week is “We accept each other.” We accept the many things we have in common, but we also accept the differences that make each of us special. Each of us brings our own unique cultures, traditions and interests and we can celebrate these differences by learning about each other.

Parent Support: On Tuesday, Mrs. Vaughn, Director of Technology and Modern Learning, along with Mrs. Carfa, ECC and Lower School STEAM teacher, led our ECC 1st Tuesday chat centered around empowering young learners in the technology world. The conversation was lively and filled with great questions, suggestions and helpful tools. Click here to view the resources that were shared with families.

100th Day of School and Valentine’s Parties: Next week, we look forward to two exciting events - the 100th Day of School and Valentines’ Day Parties. For the 100th Day of School which is on Monday, February 12, Pre-K students are invited to wear pajamas to school and our Kindergarten students are invited to dress up as 100-year-old people. We ask that all students wear tennis shoes. On February 14, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with class parties. Preschool parties will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and Pre-K and Kindergarten parties will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. All students are invited to wear Valentine themed attire with tennis shoes. Don’t forget to send your child with one Valentine per student!

Parent-Teacher Conferences: We extend an invitation for you to join us for the February Parent Conferences scheduled for Friday, February 16. These crucial meetings will provide an opportunity for teachers to discuss the progress and growth observed in your child. Topics to be covered include social-emotional skills, cognitive and language development, gross and fine motor skills, and academics. Please ensure that you review your child’s Seesaw account and sign up for a conference time. A reminder: there will be no school on this day.

Sincerely,

Ashley Read, Oakridge Class of 2005
