November 1, 2024

Dear Parents,

This week, students have been focusing on the importance of our words and being kind. Words are powerful. When we say something to someone, the words we choose to use can make a person’s heart feel happy or sad. We also discussed a life lesson: Just because you think it, doesn’t mean you have to say it. Your brain is your filter and a filter lets the good stuff in and keeps the bad stuff out.

Book Options: We use Kind words
Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon by Patty Lovell
The Recess Queen by ALexis O'neill
Being Frank by Donna W. Earnhardt
Words and your Heart by Kate Jane Neal

Fall Showcases: We are excited for our ECC students to take part in our annual Fall Showcase performances next week. Showcases are an integral part of our public speaking initiative. Students will showcase what they have learned in terms of rhythm, singing voices and performance skills. Parents and loved ones are invited to join and be in the audience.

ECC 1st Wednesday:
Join me and Mrs. Novoselskly, our School Counselor, on Wednesday, November 6 at 8:15 a.m. in the ECC, for our monthly 1st Wednesday Chat. We will discuss upcoming events and Mrs. Novo will share helpful parenting tips and tricks.
