Dear parents,

What a perfect week to celebrate that "we are silly together." Our hallways have been buzzing with excitement with Super Bowl, valentine's parties, celebrating the 100th day of school, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and everything in between. On Wednesday, the students celebrated the 100th Day of School by being silly together. Pajama-wearing Pre-K students and 100-year-old Kindergarteners paraded through the Big Room as the Preschool students cheered them on. Thanks to all the generous volunteers who made our valentine's parties a huge success. We concluded the week by hosting our annual February Parent-Teacher Conferences. We appreciated the opportunity to meet with parents to discuss your children's progress thus far and a glimpse into what is to come. We value positive partnerships with our families here at Oakridge. 

As we look ahead to next week, please note that Monday, February 20, will be a school holiday in celebration of Presidents Day - NO SCHOOL. On Friday, February 24, we are thrilled to welcome Oncor to our campus. Oncor will host a program called Oncor Super Safe Kids. "Super Safe Kids is a fun, engaging way for kids to learn how to stay safe around electricity. With lessons on what to do in electrical emergencies, from power outages to lightning storms to downed power lines, kids will take away a healthy respect for electricity and know how to stay out of danger."
