Sept. 9, 2022

Dear ECC Families,

At the ECC, our mornings begin by coming together as a family in the Big Room. With our hands over our hearts, the leader from each Kindergarten class leads us to say the Pledge of Allegiance, the Texas Pledge, and sing the “Star-Spangled Banner.” We conclude our morning announcements with a thought of the week. This week, our students are working on supporting each other. We can support each other on the playground by checking on a friend if they get hurt, by asking a lonely friend to join us at lunch, and of course, we can even support each other by saying, “Great job! You worked hard on that!” when a friend completes a piece of work. Character building is an important skill we focus on daily at the ECC. We work hard to develop our soft skills. Join us in looking for ways to celebrate your child supporting others.

In addition, the Preschool students spent the week focusing on learning about their feelings and working on the letter F. Our Pre-Kindergarten students spent time peeling, cutting, and tasting apples. They were amazed at all of the things the apple slices had in common and noticed the differences in each slice. Additionally, our Kindergarten teachers thank you, parents, for sending pictures of your families for their family unit. Based on the photos and the stories the students have shared, it is evident that your children value their unique families.
