Dear Oakridge Families,

As the leaves begin to change colors and our fall seasons wind down, let’s take time to reflect.  Our cross-country team has put in the miles, and our athletes continue to break personal records. While there are no “home” games for our XC team, they make us proud in each meet with their preparation and determination to run faster than the week before. Coach Read and her Field Hockey team continue to progress, building more momentum as the program grows. Our Volleyball team has wins against many public 6A schools and is trending to be the #1 seed in the SPC tournament. Oakridge football is 8-0 for the first time in school history.  Signature wins vs 6A El Paso Coronado and defending SPC champion Houston Christian are a few of this year’s highlights.

While looking back paints a picture of progress, our excitement is in the future. The fall SPC tournament week is Nov. 6-8. Our Cross Country, Field Hockey, and Volleyball teams will compete in Houston. It is there that those teams will build on what they have accomplished over the past twelve weeks, with aspirations of wins and a possible  SPC championship. I am thrilled to announce that Oakridge Football will play in the SPC Championship game Saturday, Nov. 8, at UTA Maverick Stadium. Game time is 7:30 pm, and our opponent will be Fort Worth Country Day. Coach Flowers will have our team ready to play, and we invite all of you to come out and be a part of what could be a magical day for Oakridge Athletics.

Go Owls!
