Tamika Dees, Head of Middle School

September 4, 2026

Greetings, Middle School Families,

September is filled with opportunities for our Middle School scholars to learn how to study, implement test-taking strategies, try new things, and develop team-building skills. One of the goals in Middle School is to implement instructional strategies that promote abstract thinking, reasoning skills, and creativity. We have enjoyed watching our Owls work in collaborative groups, utilize different resources to solve complex problems, and take ownership of their learning.

Throughout the school year, students will have the opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities. These may include Student Council, Private School Interscholastic Association Academic Competition (PSIA), Spelling Bee, and community service. Please stay tuned for more information on how your child can get involved.

Class Trips:

We are putting the finishing touches on our grade-level trips. If your child is not participating, please notify us this week. Since regular classes for each grade will not run on their trip days, non-attending students will stay home.

We look forward to 100% participation in these one-day excursions. Our class trips provide excellent learning opportunities, team bonding, and more importantly, fun memories for our students and teachers. For planning purposes, the trip cost is $150. Please register your child below:

The Countdown To Homecoming Is On:

Get ready, Oakridge, because one of the most anticipated events of the year will soon be here. We're brimming with excitement as we prepare for an out-of-this-world Homecoming celebration on October 16, 2026. The transmission link will go dark on October 6, 2026 (T-shirt Order Form Closes), so gather your intelligence before the signal is lost!
