Greetings, Middle School Families,

I am so excited to announce that we’ve completed our 2025-2026 Middle School Student Council elections. All the candidates did a fantastic job during their campaign speeches. These young scholars were confident, poised, and truly demonstrated the epitome of leadership. 

Students have the opportunity to serve as advisory representatives for the activities committee, kindness team, special events, school spirit, and the legislative board. Congratulations to all of our students who are eagerly ready to serve Oakridge Middle School in a leadership capacity. 

We are celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th. During this time,  we recognize and celebrate the culture and contributions of American citizens of Hispanic descent. In 1968, President Lyndon Johnson established Hispanic Heritage Week, and in 1988, President Ronald Reagan expanded this celebration into Hispanic Heritage Month. We invite you to our Parent Conferences on Friday, October 31,  and will be providing a link to sign up soon.  However,  parents can request a conference anytime throughout the year by emailing the teacher directly or calling the Middle School Office. There will be no school for students on October 31st.  

Next week, September 29 - October 3, is Homecoming Spirit Week. We have a full week of fun dress up days and an early release day on Friday after the parade. Click here to view the daily themes and the schedule of events. We invite you to join us on October 3rd at 10:00 a.m. for the annual Homecoming Parade and hope that you will come back to the O.A.C. (Oakridge Athletic Complex across the street) for the football game that evening.
