Greetings Middle School Families,
It has been a busy and incredibly rewarding season for our middle schoolers! From local traditions to cross-state adventures, our students continue to demonstrate the curiosity and character that make our community special. Here is a look at what we’ve been up to and what is on the horizon.
Deans’ Day
This week, we celebrated “St. Patrick's” Deans’ Day, a tradition that allows our students to step outside their standard academic routine and engage in community-building and school spirit. It was fun to see the students collaborating and participating in a competitive game of ☘️Shamrock-Paper-Scissors, and showing such great sportsmanship throughout the day. These moments of connection are vital to the middle school experience, and we are so proud of the leadership shown by our older students.

7th/8th Grade Experiential Trip: Memphis & Arkansas
Our 7th/8th graders recently returned from a 4-day transformative educational journey through the Mid-South. In Memphis, students walked through history at the National Civil Rights Museum, explored the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, and visited the iconic Beale Street. The journey continued to the "Natural State," where the beauty of Arkansas provided the perfect backdrop to learn about the Little Rock Nine. This trip was not just about history; it was a milestone for class bonding that these students will carry with them for years to come.
Looking Ahead: Houston STEM Study Experiential Trip 2027
We are hard at work planning next year’s premiere STEM study trip to Houston, Texas! This excursion is open to upcoming 7th and 8th-grade students and is designed to provide hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technology and engineering in one of the country's most innovative hubs. Students can look forward to immersive experiences at the Johnson Space Center (NASA), the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and specialized tours of local engineering firms and research laboratories. Current 6th and 7th-graders are eligible to sign up for this trip.
