Greetings Middle School Families,

This past Saturday, our Oakridge students delivered an outstanding performance at the PSIA District Meet. One-hundred and five students competed across a rigorous range of academic contests, including Art Memory, Calculator, Maps/Graphs/Charts, Mathematics, Music Memory, Number Sense, On-Site Drawing, Science, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Writing.

The results were nothing short of extraordinary, with The Oakridge School securing the first place overall finish. Nineteen of our brilliant scholars won a first-place ribbon in their respective events, and 37 students qualified to advance to the State Competition, which will be held at Texas State University in San Marcos on May 2.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, preparation, and competitive spirit these students exhibited. They have upheld the highest standard of the Oakridge philosophy, and we are proud of their monumental success.  Click here to visit the PSIA results.

Baylor Tip Scholars

Oakridge Middle School is also excited to announce that we have a record number of Baylor Talent Identification Program (TIP) scholars in 2026!

Baylor TIP provides opportunities for enrichment to students with exceptional academic ability by connecting them with scholarship and early college activities, including a resident Summer Program on the Baylor campus in Waco. To qualify for the program, students had to pass the Indicator of Academic Readiness, a college-level English and Math exam. All students who are accepted into the program are invited to a special Induction Ceremony at the Baylor campus on April 18, where they will receive their medals.

Two of our 7th-grade students who took the Baylor IAR test scored in the top 10% of testers in the state (Gold Scholars), with three scoring in the top 25% (Green Scholars); and five at the college readiness level (Scholar). Congratulations to the following students who will officially be inducted during a special recognition ceremony at Baylor University; Ellis Carfa– Gold Scholar, Cambry Davis– Scholar, Max Francis– Gold Scholar, Angelina Gonzalez– Green Scholar, Harper Hooey- Scholar, Mackenzie Hooey- Scholar,  Olivia Mirzaei– Scholar, Anqing Pheng- Scholar, Mantaaj Sandhu- Green Scholar, Andrew Van Buren- Green Scholar.

Congratulations to all of the middle school students who earned remarkable academic achievements this week. Their discipline and continuous pursuit of academic excellence sets a standard for our entire Oakridge community.  We could not be more proud!
