Greetings Middle School Families,
This month our students stepped back in time to become entrepreneurs in the heart of Ancient Greece. Working in collaborative teams of three or four, students researched and designed their own authentic business for the Athenian Agora marketplace. Each group was responsible for selecting a historical trade, crafting a creative business name and slogan, and designing a visual storefront that reflects the culture and technology of the 5th Century BCE. Through this project, students explored the intersection of ancient history, economics, and art, eventually "pitching" their business to the class to demonstrate their understanding of Greek daily life, currency, and social values.
College Colloquium—Now Virtual
College Colloquium, Oakridge College Advising’s signature event, has been rescheduled and will now take place virtually on Wednesday, February 25, at 7:00 PM. This program offers families and students a rare opportunity to hear directly from senior college admission leaders about today’s evolving admission landscape. Whether your student is just beginning the college journey or actively preparing applications, this evening will provide clarity, insight, and confidence. Register today to reserve your spot!
Wellness Wise: Spilling the Middle School Tea
Finally, a huge shout out to Mrs. Novoselsky for spearheading our Wellness Wise: Spilling the Middle School Tea parent information session. The first meeting was phenomenal! We are thrilled about this partnership as we navigate the middle school years together.
