Dear Lower School Parents,

 We had a smooth and successful first day of school. It was fun to have everyone back and especially nice to welcome 28 new students. 

Parent Night was lively and well attended. Thank you for making it a priority. I know it is hard on day two to make a third trip to Oakridge! If you still have any questions, contact the Lower School Office and we will try to help.

Morning carpool is going well on the MAC porch. Keep in mind, you may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. School begins at 7:50. At 8:00 a.m. the back doors are locked. If you arrive after the doors are locked, please continue around to the front of the school to unload.

Lower School dismissal is at 2:50 p.m. Hopefully, afternoon carpool will soon be quick and efficient. Once your child is loaded you may pull around and be on your way. When carpool is over, remaining students will be taken to Owls’ Nest.  If you have questions regarding Owls’ Nest (extended care) please contact Marissa Cox.

Next Friday evening, August 29, at 7:00 p.m. we hope to see our Lower School students at our first home football game. Our Upper School Student Council has planned a tropical theme for Lower School Hype Night. So pull out your Hawaiian shirts and beach attire and make plans to join us.  

If you are interested in after school enrichment opportunities, there will be more information next week. We look forward to a wonderful school year.
