Dear Lower School Parents,

On Monday Lower School students celebrate our annual Day of Kindness. Each grade level has a special activity that focuses on kindness to others. It is good to see our kids helping out around the community. Be sure to ask your child about it next week. 

The Big Sale is a signature event of our fourth grade classes. Parents of fourth graders love it because they are able to clean out all of the toys, games and crafts their kids have outgrown. First, second, and third graders love it because they find rare and wonderful bargains. Money raised is contributed to a charity the students select.

Most of you have signed up for a conference on one of the half days next week. If you haven’t, it is not too late to make an appointment. Also, make plans to join us for our end of school party, Friday, May 22 at 9:00 a.m. We look forward to celebrating another successful year!

The Oakridge Summer Reading Initiative this year will be implemented through an incentive program called "Bespoke Summer Book Bags." This program is designed as a personalized concierge service available to readers in all school divisions. Follow the link for details and to request a summer book bag.

  • Owls’ Nest available until 5:45 p.m.
• May 19 - 21: 
  • Early Dismissal at 11:30 a.m.
  • Owls’ Nest available until 5:45 p.m. - Send lunch
• May 22: Last Day of School
  • Class Parties 9-10:30
  • 10:30 a.m. Dismissal
  • Owls’ Nest - closed 

Owls’ Nest will have a modified schedule next week Tuesday-Thursday: 

• Owls’ Nest will be available Tuesday-Thursday from 11:30 early dismissal until 5:45.
• Students staying for Owls’ Nest need to bring lunch.
• Tuesday-Thursday there will be two bus departures: 12:15 p.m. and 3:50 p.m.
• Friday is a half day for all students, and there will be no Owls’ Nest.
