Dear Oakridge Family,

They say the days are long, but the years are short; and just like that, we are bringing the 2025–2026 school year to a close. It has been a banner year for Oakridge, and I want to personally thank you for being a part of it. While it is hard to quantify our collective achievements in a single message, what we accomplished together was truly extraordinary.

I wish you all a joyous, restful summer. My own summer will be a busy one, as we celebrate one grandchild turning the big “1” and prepare for another to be born in late June or early July. (Apparently, my daughter is wasting no time on growing the Oakridge family…) We will surely be spending a good chunk of our time in Midland with our grandbabies! Yet, in between the diaper changes and bottle feedings, I am eager to continue our work preparing for our 48th school year, my 5th at this wonderful place.

The future is incredibly bright at Oakridge. We have officially adopted a new strategic plan, the culmination of three years of dedicated work mapping out our long-term vision. We analyzed multiple data points and, most importantly, listened closely to what our students, teachers, and families want to see in the future of Oakridge. I look forward to unveiling this plan as we enter the 2026–2027 school year!
