Dear Oakridge Family,

It is a proud moment to be an Owl. You may have seen the exciting announcement recently, but I want to take a moment to reflect on the depth of this achievement: The Oakridge School has been named to the Advanced Placement® Program School Honor Roll as a Platinum member.

While the "Platinum" title is prestigious, it is important to understand the high bar our community cleared to earn it. This distinction is not easily won; it requires a school to excel across a broad spectrum of collegiate preparation. At Oakridge, this looks like a "College Culture" where over 80% of our graduating seniors challenge themselves with at least one AP exam. It is reflected in our "College Credit" results, where more than half of those students earn a score of 3 or higher, securing mastery and credit before they even step onto a university campus. Finally, it demonstrates "College Optimization," as at least 15% of our students pursue a truly rigorous path, taking five or more AP exams starting as early as 9th or 10th grade.

This milestone would be impossible without the tireless efforts of our AP faculty—the architects of this excellence. To our teachers: thank you. You have spent countless hours refining your craft, grading rigorous assessments, and, most importantly, mentoring our students through some of the most challenging coursework of their lives. Your dedication is the engine behind this achievement.

Ultimately, this honor is a direct reflection of the Oakridge Mission. We strive to inspire students to seek their potential through academic excellence, and by maintaining a "Platinum" standard, we ensure our students are not just meeting benchmarks—they are surpassing them. Our community's commitment to nurturing and challenging each student on their unique journey is what makes this possible. Whether our students are balancing a heavy AP load with the arts and athletics or finding their unique voice in a specific subject area, this recognition proves they are graduating with the character, confidence, and lifelong love of learning necessary to thrive.

Thank you to our parents, students, and staff for making Oakridge a place where excellence is not just a goal, but a reality.

Go Owls!
