Dear Oakridge Family,

After three days of navigating the "cozy chaos" of snow days—and for many of us, the relentless task of shoveling ice—we are thrilled to have our students and families back on campus.

I often speak about how incredible our faculty is. It’s a privilege to work alongside teachers who ensure your children are known, loved, and challenged every day. However, our return this week was only made possible by the exceptional efforts of a team that often works in the shadows: our facilities crew, led by Brian Farda, Director of Campus Operations.

While many surrounding districts struggled to reopen, our team worked tirelessly to ensure Oakridge was safe and operational. From fixing leaky faucets to clearing the grounds after a major ice storm, they are the backbone of our school. They provide the essential foundation that allows our teachers and students to thrive.

If you see a member of the facilities team on campus this week, please join me in offering them a word of thanks. They are vital to the Oakridge family, and we truly couldn’t do this without them!

Warmly,

Matt Burgy
