Dear US Families,
We have had a busy week in the Upper School this week coming off the heels of Homecoming and preparing for our PSAT/SAT testing day. I know the students will be appreciative of the long 4 day Fall Break to rest and recharge. As we move into the next part of this semester I encourage all our students to think like Mufasa in The Lion King when he says “Remember who you are.” No matter where students go whether that be on campus, on other school campuses, or in the community they always represent Oakridge and it’s important to know who and what they stand for and how they are ambassadors of our school out in public.

Semester Exam information:
- Dec. 15 - Normal full school day
- Dec. 15-18 Semester Exams (½ day early dismissal each day for US students)
Parent Conferences:
Parent Conference Day will be a little different this year. Conferences will be held in the classrooms this year. No classes are scheduled that day, so teachers are available to visit with you. Use this link to schedule an appointment with your child’s teacher through your Oakridge Parent Portal. If no slots are available to meet with a teacher, we are happy to schedule alternative times. The deadline to register for conference times is no later than 3pm on Thursday, October 30th.
Freshmen Class Trip:
There are still 5 slots left for our 9th Grade Class Trip on November 10-14 to Big Bend National Park. Please click here if you are interested in one of these spots.
Due to SPC in November and the large number of students participating in athletic events the Upper School will not have classes on Friday, November 7.
We will be hosting a College Athletic Placement Workshop on campus Monday, October 27th @ 6:00 pm in the Flavin Fine Arts Performance Hall.

New this year, in The Oakridge Fund campaign, each grade is competing in a school-wide contest based not only on giving and fund participation, but also on spirit-based activities by our kids! Watch this video to hear more details about this spirit challenge. Additionally, if your family didn’t see the flyers at the football game, we are collecting attendance to have grade levels earn more points. If your student attended the Friday Homecoming game, please complete this form.

- November 3: Class of 2028-2029 College Night 6:00-7:00
- November 7: SPC - NO school for Upper School
- November 20: Boys Volleyball @ 1:30
- November 21: Grandparents Day and Powder Puff Football
- November 24-28: No School- Thanksgiving Break
