Dear Parents,
This week's focus was on the essential need to exercise both our bodies and our minds. To keep our bodies active, we have daily recess and PE. For brain exercise, we engage in reading, counting, math, and writing, all of which require thought and effort. The overall goal is to maintain health by exercising our brain and body every day.
Book Options:
- Blackout by John Rocco
- Good for Me and You by Mercer and Gina Mayer
- Todd’s TV by James Proimos
- Your Fantastic Elastic Brain by JoAnn Deak, Ph.D.
1st Wednesday
On Wednesday, we held our last and final 1st Wednesday ECC Chat for the 25-26 school year. Thank you, parents, for attending these meetings regularly and taking part in the conversations. It has been a wonderful way to get to know your school community and gain some tools for your parenting tool belt. As you look ahead to the 26-27 school year, be sure to save-the-dates for the 1st Wednesday ECC Chats.
Field Day
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Field Day! Students had a blast moving from station to station, putting their gross motor skills and athletic abilities to the test. A special thank you goes out to our National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) members who helped lead the stations; they served as wonderful mentors and leaders for our ECC students throughout the event. Thank you also to all the parents and families who joined us to cheer on our young athletes!a

Summer Reading begins May 13!
Students in all divisions can check out a Bespoke Summer Reading Bag from the library. They’re welcome to pick their own books, or we can put together a selection for them.
Each bag will include a golden ticket for a raffle at the start of the school year. To enter, students can write one sentence or draw a picture inspired by something they read over the summer.
We’ll hold the raffle during the first week of school, with prizes like gift cards, art supplies, and more.
In July (date coming soon), students can return to the library to check out new books and decorate their bags. We’ll also have craft days, story time, special guests, and book-themed activities.
We hope everyone enjoys a summer full of reading.
