April 17, 2026

Dear Parents,

This week, students have been putting their grit skills into practice. We don’t always get things right the first time, and that is okay! We make mistakes all the time, but that is how we learn and get better at something. “I can’t climb the rocks!” “I can’t tie my shoe!” When our students make comments like these, we try to remind them that they can’t do it “yet,” but the more we practice, the better we will get.

Book Options:

  • Caramba by Marie-Louise Gay
  • Beatrice Doesn’t Want To by Laura Numeroff
  • Always in Trouble by Corinne Demas
  • The Very Ugly Bug by Liz Pichon

Una visita de los alumnos de cuarto grado de la Señora Reed (A Visit from Señora Reed’s 4th Grade Students):

This week, we had a special treat! Señora Reed brought a small group of 4th graders down to perform “Gallina Catalina (Chicken Little),” a Spanish play for our students. It was incredibly impressive to watch our young students showcase their public speaking skills, especially while performing entirely in Spanish!
