Dear Parents,
This week, we have been discussing that we tell the truth because it is the right thing to do. When we are honest, it means we tell the truth even when it feels scary. At a young developmental age, many children might initially lie when confronted. This is a natural stage in learning how to navigate social rules and personal responsibility. We are using our curriculum to help them understand that while mistakes happen, owning up to them—telling the truth—is the best way to move forward and build trust.
Book Options:
- The Berenstain Bears and the Truth by Stan and Jan Berenstain
- The Dog Who Cried “Woof!” by Bob Barkly
- Sarah’s Little Ghosts by Thierry Robberecht
- Sam Tells Stories by Thierry Robberecht
A Visit from the Warminski Farm!
The Warminski family, one of our Pre-K families, brought five baby chicks to the ECC on Thursday! Our students were over-the-moon excited to see and touch the baby chicks. The chicks spent the entire day up front and the students would check on them throughout the school day. We love that authentic, hands-on learning like this takes place live at our school.
