Dear Parents,
The thought of the week this week centered around showing compassion. We discussed how when we do the right thing by taking care of others we are showing compassion. We show compassion by helping our grandparents, caring for a pet, or hugging a friend who may feel sad. We hope to see acts of compassion throughout the week.
Our Kindergarten students had a very busy week, enjoying a visit from a published author, spending time with their Junior buddies, and wrapping up with an exciting field trip to the UTA planetarium. All ECC students enjoyed the Valentine’s parties, and we send a big thank-you to all the parents who volunteered to help plan and host the parties. We are so grateful to our amazing parent population!
Our ECC teachers felt the love and had full bellies on Wednesday as they enjoyed a delicious Carrabba's Italian lunch, generously hosted by the Oakridge Parents' Club! We send a big thank you to the Parents' Club for recognizing our wonderful faculty and staff.
February 27- Parent-Teacher Conference Day (NO SCHOOL): On Friday, February 27, we will be hosting our February Parent-Teacher Conferences. During these gatherings, teachers will share progress notes and goals for the school year. Please be sure that you have accessed the Sign-Up Genius link via your child’s Seesaw account and secured a time to meet.
College Colloquium—Now Virtual
College Colloquium, Oakridge College Advising’s signature event, has been rescheduled and will now take place virtually on Wednesday, February 25, at 7:00 PM. This program offers families and students a rare opportunity to hear directly from senior college admission leaders about today’s evolving admission landscape. Whether your student is just beginning the college journey or actively preparing applications, this evening will provide clarity, insight, and confidence. Registration details coming soon.
