Application Process

Finding the right school is one of the most important things you can do for your child to ensure his or her happiness, growth, and success. We are eager to partner with you in this process and help you navigate each step as smoothly as possible. Please click on the link below to learn more about Oakridge and the application process.

Create an account in Ravenna, our online admissions portal. There, you will see all of the steps in our admissions process and submit all of the required documents. (Helpful hint: you can work on this a little at a time. Ravenna will automatically save your information, as you work, so you don't have to do it all in one sitting!)

After completing and submitting the application, you will be asked to submit a $50 application fee. Your child's application will not be visible to us until that fee is paid. We have an Early Bird discount for those of you who are ready to apply by November 15. Just use the code EarlyBird when submitting your application.

- We are currently accepting applications in grades Preschool to Grade 11
First Round of Admission Decisions will be Emailed
- Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten- Feb. 16, 2024
- Grades 1-12- March 8, 2024
- Enrollment agreements will be due on March 1, 2024 for ECC applicants and March 22, 2024 for applicants entering grades 1-12.

Step 4: Admissions Testing

Admissions testing is specific to the grade your child is applying.

Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Grades 1-4:
- Please contact the admission office to schedule your child's group visit day.
Grades 5-12:
- ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam)
- Please call the admission office to schedule your testing.

Step 5: Submit Student Information Forms

Recommendation Forms (Math teacher, English teacher, Principal or Counselor)
Current and prior year's grades (Pre-Kindergarten-11)
Birth certificate
(Additional documents are required for international students. A comprehensive list will be found in your Ravenna admissions portal.)

Step 6: Interview

Once the student's admission file is complete, we will schedule your interview. This is a wonderful time for us to get to know each other better, discuss the exciting things that your child would experience at Oakridge, as well as ask any questions you may have. The participants for the interviews are:

Early Childhood Center (Preschool-Kindergarten)- Parents/Guardians
Lower School (grades 1-2)- Parents/Guardians
Lower School (grades 3-4)- Applicants and Parents/Guardians
Middle School (grades 5-8)- Applicants and Parents/Guardians
Upper School (grades 9-12)- Applicants and Parents/Guardians

Final Step: Enrollment

Offers of enrollment are sent via email to Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten families on February 16, 2023 and to applicants families of students entering grades 1-12 on March 8, 2024.
When a child is offered enrollment for the upcoming school year, a non-refundable deposit of $750 is required along with the enrollment contract to secure his or her spot.

There are several options for tuition payments that you can review with the Business Office. The Board of Regents establishes tuition policies and fees annually.

Financial Aid:

Available to students in Grades 1-12.
Parents who are returning or who are new to Oakridge must submit copies of their full tax return, any accompanying W2's or 1099's, and submit the School and Student Service (SSS) form.
This is an annual process for all families seeking financial aid for their student(s).
