Owls' Nest is a free service provided to Lower School families that have a student waiting for an older Oakridge sibling in a different division to be dismissed from school or students who ride the bus home. For families with students in multiple divisions, this service allows parents to come for one convenient carpool time for all children. Owls' Nest is offered daily from 2:50-3:20 p.m.
For safety, a Lower School student will not be dismissed from Owls' Nest to meet a parent or sibling at the flagpole or carpool area; therefore older siblings or parents need to pick up their sibling/child from the classroom. Any student not picked up by 3:20 p.m. will be sent to extended care and will be charged the daily rate. The student can be picked up from the extended care room. Please make alternate arrangements if Lower School students are not being picked up that day by their sibling due to absence or otherwise occupied (doctor appointment, class trip, sports practice or game, etc).
It is our goal to provide a safe and secure environment for our students that remain on campus after school. Students are expected to behave in an honorable, trustworthy, and respectful manner at all times. Inappropriate behavior can jeopardize a participant’s privilege of using this service.
