College Advising

The mission of the Oakridge College Advising Office is to provide consistent, one-on-one attention, give students an opportunity for self-reflection, career and college exploration, and a place to discover and take ownership of their voice, ultimately ending their journey by selecting a university that best fits their ambitions.

The Oakridge School College Advising Office values strong ties with college admission officers. We welcome the opportunity for you to visit our school and students and to learn more about the education that Oakridge provides.

Students are excused from class to meet with college representatives. Oakridge prefers to schedule college visits that correspond to the daily schedule below. We do not schedule lunch visits.

A and B Day College Visit Schedule
8:30 - 9:00 a.m.
10:10 - 10:40 a.m.
11:25 a.m. - 11:55 p.m.
2:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Scoir is a powerful college guidance management system that The Oakridge School is now using to help students and parents navigate the college application process.

For Students: Scoir helps you discover colleges that are the right fit. You can explore schools through pictures, videos, and links showcasing student life and organizations. This makes it easier to find a college that matches your interests and increases your chances of staying and thriving.

For Parents: Scoir provides financial calculators to help you estimate college costs and plan for affordability. This tool helps you make informed decisions about where to apply.

Scoir streamlines the application process by handling document requests, processing, sending, and tracking electronically. It also offers convenient scheduling and communication tools to keep everyone informed and engaged. Scoir aims to help students achieve positive outcomes and make the college application journey smoother and more successful for everyone.

The Oakridge School Profile is updated on an annual basis and includes data about the graduating class and a five year list of college acceptances.
