College Advising
College selection is one of the more important decisions of a student’s life. The Oakridge Office of College Advising strives to provide students with all the tools necessary to make the college decision-making process simpler and less mysterious.
The college advising office uses Family Connection by Naviance to help manage the college process. Students and parents alike use this tool for planning.
Students applying to private (and some public) universities will likely need The Common Application; those applying to Texas public (and some private) universities use Apply Texas.
College Admission Officer Visits
The Oakridge School College Advising Office values strong ties with college admission officers. We welcome the opportunity for you to visit our school and students and to learn more about the education that Oakridge provides. Visit CounselorCommunity.com or contact Oakridge College Advising Coordinator Paulo da Silva to schedule a visit.
Students are excused from class to meet with college representatives. Oakridge prefers to schedule college visits that correspond to the daily schedule below. The best opportunity to see students is during our Initiative period, 2:55-3:40 p.m.. We do not schedule lunch visits.
