Elementary school children coloring in a group

All Oakridge students must abide willingly to the following honor code: An Oakridge student will be trustworthy, honorable, and respectful at all times.

An important objective of The Oakridge School includes helping students understand the need for rules and assisting them in internalizing a code of conduct. Inherent in the Honor Code, which is written on all tests and as requested on other work submitted, is the respect for the individual, for the school, and for the established laws and ethical guidelines. Coupled with a college preparatory education, students who live by the Honor Code on a daily basis obtain self-discipline and self-respect often attributed to a successful and prosperous life.
All Oakridge students are expected to exhibit honorable behavior and integrity. Consequently, students must always be trustful, considerate, respectful, and responsible. One who demonstrates honorable behavior avoids cheating, stealing, defiance, and vandalism.
While each student is held responsible for his/her behavior and any subsequent consequences, we recommend that the family cooperate with the school by discussing matters and principles of conduct at home. It is important for each student to thoroughly understand how conduct affects character and reputation.
