The College Advisor assists students in preparing for and selecting colleges best suited for their individual talents, interests, and needs. The advisor handles the mailing of applications, transcripts, recommendations, and other information to colleges. The advisor normally writes the official recommendation from the school to the college. The advisor arranges for college representatives to visit the campus and can help arrange visits to college campuses for interested students and their families. The college advisement office and the library maintain a collection of college information, including applications, catalogs, view books, and video tours. The advisor also coordinates PSAT and PLAN testing for the school.
