Elementary school children coloring in a group

Founded in 1979, The Oakridge School has established a reputation as Arlington's premier private school. Parents from thirty-two cities and twelve foreign countries place their confidence in our experienced faculty and staff to educate and care for their children.

The Oakridge School has an educational philosophy that forms the basis for its academic program, goals, and objectives and is organized around the following mission statement:

To inspire students to seek their full potential in academics, the arts, and athletics in a challenging and nurturing environment that cultivates social responsibility, mutual respect, and personal integrity.

The decision a parent makes to enroll his or her child at Oakridge is often the final educational decision until a college selection is made. This year, approximately 20% of the senior class has earned the distinction of Alpha and Omega, having entered Oakridge in first grade or earlier. Many others enter the school during second grade or beyond and enjoy a number of wonderful years in our inspiring, college preparatory environment.

At Oakridge, parents share common goals with our professional faculty and staff. We value education, and there is an understanding that each of our 850 children is college bound.

According to a high-ranking official at Texas Christian University, "Oakridge is arguably the best private school in North Texas."
